Welcome to Merton Rise - A Connected Community

Merton Rise is an area of development land to the north of Basingstoke that is to become a vibrant, welcoming urban extension with places to live, work, shop and relax. The site  has outline planning consent for 950 homes, a new secondary school, a neighbourhood centre, employment opportunities and open spaces.

Originally an area of farmland, the site is owned by Hampshire County Council and the project involves planners, urban designers, architects, surveyors and developers working together to create a community of real innovation and character. One of the main objectives is to ensure that the development benefits those who move into the area, as well as those who already live in the surrounding neighbourhoods.
